IRS agent caught soliciting $20,000 bribe

In the latest of a slew of IRS corruption suits, Paul G. Hurley, an IRS agent based in Seattle, is facing jail time for soliciting and agreeing to receive a bribe by a public official. He was caught soliciting and receiving a bribe for $20,000 from a marijuana shop he was auditing.

Last year another IRS agent named Samuel Garza was arrested for sexual battery of a woman while he was assigned to audit her business.

According to Breitbart:

Lax management and poorly defined or rarely followed human resource policies appear to allow largely unsupervised rogue agents to exercise unbound authority over virtually helpless taxpayers. The two arrested agents seemed to act as if they had free rein to advance their personal financial or sexual desires without constraint or regard to the rights and liberties of the taxpayers they were auditing.

Is it any wonder why most Americans have a deep mistrust of the Internal Revenue System?
